Wild Vicuna roam the high dry mountainous plateaus between Arequipa and Chivay. The were nearly hunted to extinction. Now the Peruvian govt protects them. They are not allowed to be owned ok hunted. Once a year the Local ranchers are allowed to round up local herds shear then and release them again to their natural habitat. No health exam, antibiotics, de-worming. And the round up is only allowed by human effort no vehicles [no worries there] just lots of people walking slowly surrounding and gathering them together.

Clinic day #4

Some of the faces we saw

These people show little emotion, seems that the harsh life and weather is reflected in their faces. The children smile and laugh if we gringos home worth them and etc them into it, they are little reflections of the adults. There smiles of gratitude and Joy when they receive glasses and the world is visible once again.
They strongly advocate for each other, aslong as you are not ahead of them In line.
Bathing is not a value, not even In larger cities. Much less so I. the rural villages where it's cold and there's only hot water if its on the stove.1111151504

And the new chapel. Notice that the rebar was put in AFTER the walls were done. A channel was chipped out, rebar placed, then it will be patched over. . either lack off knowledge or an OOPS
